ABOUT ME
Welcome to my space! I am Chirag; a wandering desire in this little cosmos. Out of the 7.13 Billion people living in this world [2013 data, World Bank], I live in my own world consisting of my family and friends. I was born and raised in a family that believes in morals and ethics more than religion.
Growing up in a family of achievers had its own merits. Information was available 24x7x365 and debating was an essential part of life. School was conventional but sports was fun. No PBL :-). Actual learning happened with family members in the evening over dinner. Discipline and compassion were highly emphasized upon, with academic achievement standing a close second. While my mother instilled a sense of discipline and passion for science into me, my father nurtured a (wicked) sense of humour and pertinacity into me.
Time kept on moving and so did I. I visited major cities in Europe, UK, and the USA. Life took an interesting turn when I became a father. An energetic young one, now known as Tanmay was always looking for me; rather I was looking for him every moment, as I still do. I could actually blame him for delaying the submission of my doctoral thesis.– if it were not for my wife Kavya, I would have ended up changing his diapers!
My personal favourites are music, soccer, and mountaineering. I prefer to play/listen to Indian and Western classical music. Family and profession take up most of my time. Although I live to the fullest amongst family and friends, at times I do like to be left alone! Mountainering is something that I cherish the most as it is my time. Time spent in the mountains allows me to introspect and resuscitate my life.
